Kirsten Dunton

Kirsten “Kiki” Dunton is an attorney with over 19 years of legal experience, and over 25 years professional experience.

Kiki earned her J.D. from Wake Forest University and holds a BA degree from the College of William & Mary. She most recently worked as an Attorney ad Litem for children in the dependency system, and was with Children’s Legal Services for several years. As a Senior Attorney with Children’s Legal Services, Kiki was a leader on a child welfare team working with social workers, protective investigators, mental health professionals, service providers, caregivers, parents, and other attorneys to ensure abused children were safe and formulated strategies to improve family safety. In that role, she was also responsible for all court activities, including writing motions, orders, petitions, and briefs, as well as regularly litigating various hearings and trials. In 2017, Kiki was awarded the Florida Second Judicial Circuit Guardian ad Litem Attorney award for excellence in advocacy for children with special needs.

Ms. Dunton is trained in Collaborative Family Law, and as a Guardian Ad Litem for family law cases.  She is also a qualified Parenting Coordinator for the Florida Second Judicial Circuit, and currently working to become a Certified Family Mediator.

Prior to her work as an attorney, Kiki worked with a variety of non-profits and policy organizations as an organizer and advocate, gaining valuable skills in advocacy, public speaking, and written communication.
