Florida Supreme Court upholds law requiring state workers to contribute 3% to pension plan. This can affect child support numbers.
In Leon County, there are normally 3 judges assigned to the family law court. Judge George Reynolds III is the chief family law judge and has presided over the family law courts for numerous years. Judge Barbara Hobbs won the November 2012 election and will commence serving in the family law courts in January 2013. Currently, there is an opening for the third judge position due to Judge Mark Walker being appointed to the federal bench in December 2012. Hopefully, his replacement will be appointed by Governor Scott soon.
